We take privacy seriously. ChiHaoFan is built on one principle: your data belongs to you.

1. A Local-Only App, No Servers of Our Own

ChiHaoFan is a local-only client app. We do not operate any backend server, and we do not collect, upload, or store any of your data — including your groceries, meal plans, check-ins, expense records, family profiles, AI conversation / meal-request content, or any third-party API keys you enter.
All data is stored only on your device. To delete everything: Settings → Danger Zone → Delete All Data. Your AI API key can be removed or replaced at any time in Settings → AI Meal Service.

If you configure an API key for a third-party AI provider of your choice (such as DeepSeek, Doubao, or OpenAI), meal-planning / photo-recognition / health-report requests send the relevant text or images directly from your device to that provider's servers. Data transmission and processing are handled by that provider under its own privacy policy.
Your API key is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to any server. Without an AI key, the app works fully offline.
iCloud backup (iOS only, optional): backup files are stored in your own Apple account.

The app does not access your contacts, location, or SMS, or any other permission unrelated to its features. Network requests happen only when you actively initiate one (AI meal planning, photo recognition, etc.).
Notifications: mealtime companion reminders (at most two per day, can be turned off).
Microphone & speech recognition: real-time speech-to-text when you chat with Qingtuantuan by voice; recordings are not stored.
Camera / Photos: requested only when you actively use "Scan Receipt". Images are sent only to the AI provider you configured; the app does not retain them.
Clipboard: written only when you actively tap a "Copy" button.

This app does not provide services specifically for children under 14. Use under the guidance of a guardian is recommended.
