The avatar does not appear, or loading never finishes
3D rendering asks something of the GPU. Force-quit the app and reopen it once. If it still fails, send us the build number from Settings → About along with your phone model and OS version.
Noticeably slow when putting on a hat or changing clothes
The first time you wear a given garment is slower than the second, because the part has to be read out of the app bundle. The interface itself should never freeze — if it locks up long enough to show a "not responding" dialog, that is a bug, and it helps to know what the avatar was wearing at the time.
An uploaded garment has the wrong colour or ragged edges
Reconstruction quality follows the source photo. Standard online-shop product shots — front-on, plain background, nobody wearing it — work best. If you shoot it yourself: lay the garment flat on a bed or floor (flat beats a hanger), avoid shadows and raking light, and let the garment fill the frame. The upload flow lets you adjust the crop, erase leftover background, and pick a white reference to correct the colour.
I bought Pro but nothing unlocked
Tap Restore purchase on the paywall and check that you are signed in with the store account you bought with. Family Sharing or deferred payments (such as parental approval) need the store to finish processing first. If it still does not restore, send us the storefront region of your account and roughly when you bought it.
My avatar and clothes are gone after changing phones
DressWell has no cloud account, so by default the data exists only on the original device. iOS users can enable iCloud backup on the old phone and restore after installing on the new one. If the old phone is already gone, local data cannot be recovered — we hold no copy.
The AI stylist does nothing, or returns an error
The stylist needs your own model provider under Settings → AI. Check that the key has not expired, the account still has credit, and the chosen model can read images (needed for photo recognition). The app shows the provider's error message verbatim, and that sentence usually names the cause.
What to include in a bug report
- Phone model and OS version
- The build number from Settings → About
- The steps you took before it went wrong, as specifically as you can
- A screenshot or screen recording, if the problem is visual
Data and privacy
We hold none of your data, so we cannot look it up or delete it for you. How to delete it and where it is stored are covered in the Privacy Policy.
Refunds
Purchases, refunds and invoices are handled by the app store you bought from (Apple, Google or Huawei), not by us. Please request refunds under that store's policy.
